This game had all the writing’s of the Brooklyn Nets game. The Toronto Raptors came out strong, competed well against a very competent and well-coached team, but came up short when it mattered.

Despite having a strong roster themselves, the Toronto Raptors seem to lack the versatile and consistent scorer they need to close games. Fred Vanvleet can often step into the role, but unfortunately both him and Gary Trent Jr. were out of the lineup.

Once again, the Toronto Raptors are in no man’s land. As the NBA’s Eastern Conference begins to lock into place, the Raptors don’t have many opportunities to rise or fall in the standings.

In other Raptors news, Khem Birch is blossoming into an incredible small ball five. The MontrĂ©al native finished with the a team’s second most points and best plus/minus.
