Toronto Blue Jays 2 Atlanta Braves 1

The Toronto Blue Jays took down the Atlanta Braves Wednesday night at SunTrust park.

In the second game of a three game series with Atlanta, Toronto was able to take game two by a score of 2-1.

The Blue Jays were able to take game two after suffer a 10-1 loss on Tuesday night.

Toronto’s big off season signing, starting pitcher Hyun-jin Ryu was stellar on Wednesday versus the Braves.

Ryu pitched five innings, striking out eight Atlanta batters while giving up just one hit.

With the win the Ryu has officially earned his first major league win.

In a game where hits were hard to come by for both teams, Toronto was able to take advantage of their chances.

The Jays scored two runs on just five hits on Wednesday night.

Second baseman Cavan Biggio and catcher Danny Jansen each had an RBI for Toronto on Wednesday.

Sean Newcomb got the start on the mound for Atlanta in game two.

Newcomb pitched 4.2 innings giving up five hits and two earned runs while striking out four.

Atlanta’s batters struggled in the contest.

Unable to get much going against Ryu who was pitching well and was working with his full arsenal of pitches.

The Braves were only able to get three hits against the Jays on Wednesday, with only one of those hits coming against Ryu.

Toronto and Atlanta will play one more time before the Jays head to Boston on Friday for a series with the Red Sox.

Toronto and Atlanta are set to clash at 7:10pm EST on Thursday.
