FC Cincinnati 1-5 TFC

It was a big win for Toronto FC this weekend as they demolished FC Cincinnati 5-1.

The vast majority of the play in the final third for TFC came in a pulsating opening 45 minutes.

Patrick Mullins put the visitors ahead before Nick DeLeon scored the second. His strike was undoubtedly the goal of the game as he met the ball sweetly on the volley to send it into the back of the net.

Marky Delgardo added the third following some brilliant play down the flank from Alejandro Pozuelo.

TFC wasn’t happy to rest on their health advantage and added two more goals before the end of the game through Nicolas Benezet and then Michael Bradley.

There was a late consolation for the hosts, but that would have served as an irritation for the TFC staff.

The win means that there is a healthy gap between Toronto and the chasing pack in the playoffs, as they are eight points ahead of Montreal.

TFC are back in league action later in the week when they take on New York City FC away from home.

Peace,

Burke.
