Boston Celtics 97, Toronto Raptors 113

The Toronto Raptors ended their recent losing streak with a strong showing against the Boston Celtics. Furthermore, the 113-97 success was revenge for their defeat on Christmas Day.

The Raptors started the stronger of the two teams and went into the second period 36-25 ahead.

Toronto outscored the Celtics in three of the four periods, with the NBA champions outscoring Boston 24-18 in the final period to close the game out.

It was the perfect response by the champions as they close out the remarkable 2019 with a game against the Oklahoma Thunder on Sunday evening at the Scotiabank.

Kyle Lowry was the star of the show for the Raptors as he scored 30 points. Serge Ibaka scored 20 points and added ten rebounds for Toronto.

Fred VanFleet and Patrick McCaw both scored 18 points for the Raptors, while there were seven points apiece for OG Anunoby and Terence Davis.

The Celtics were led by 30 points for Kemba Walker, while Jaylen Brown and Enes Kanter also recorded double-digit returns. Jayson Tatum and Gordon Hayward also scored 12 and 13 respectively.

The Raptors will be looking to close their magical 2019 with another success against the Thunder on Sunday evening.
