The Toronto Raptors are headed home after an impressive showing in the NBA bubble.
For a team that many slept on, or counted out this season, the Raptors exceeded expectations.
After Kawahi Leonard left in the off-season, many thought Toronto would fold.
Little did they know that this Raptors team has the heart of a champion.
Led by a veteran core and the coach of the year Nick Nurse, Toronto was exceptional this season.
Toronto was however under-whelming in game 7 on Friday night.
The Raptors had 18 turnovers in game seven which was really the difference in the game.
Toronto was looking for anyone to step up and take over in game 7 but no one did.
Pascal Siakam did his best, but the moment was too much for him.
Siakam finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds, Pascal also had 5 turnovers.
The Raptors were noticeably fatigued after the double overtime win in game six.
Kyle Lowry was unable to muster a game changing performance after hauling over 50 minutes in game six.
Lowry finished game seven with 16 points 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
Boston’s big two of Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown were fantastic in game seven and out performed the Raptors stars.
Tatum had 29 points 12 rebounds and 7 assists on Friday night.
Brown added 21 points and 8 rebounds to go along with Tatums big night.
Eastern Conference Final Set
Boston will now move on to play the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference final.
The stage is set for an epic show down between two of the leagues best teams.
Miami has breezed through the playoffs thus far winning their two series in just in just nine games.
Boston is battle tested but any team led by Jimmy Butler will be tough to knock out.
The Eastern Conference final will kickoff on Tuesday night.
