Toronto Blue Jays 2 New York Yankees 7

The New York Yankees were finally able to solve the Blue Jays on Wednesday night.

Toronto could not manufacture enough offence to take the queen sweep over the Yankees.

The Yankees sent Deivi Garcia to mound on Wednesday and he pitched well.

Garcia went seven innings strong giving up five hits and two runs while striking out six.

Toronto has no answer for the Yankees ace as Toronto had just six hits.

The Blue Jays sent Tanner Roark to the mound for Wednesday’s match up and he too pitched well.

Roark pitched four innings giving up just two runs on two hits.

Toronto’s trouble started when they went to the bull-pen.

Jays reliever Ross Stripling got roughed up by New York, Stripling gave up three runs on four hits in just three innings of work.

Toronto could not recover after New York took the 5-2 run in the fifth inning.

The Blue Jays hottest bats could not get anything going against Garcia.

Grichuk and Biggio went just 1-4 on Wednesday, while Guerrero, Panik, and Gurriel all went hit less.

With the loss Toronto has a two game lead over the Yankee as they head into a three game series with the New York Mets.

The Mets currently sit in fourth place in the NL East holding a record of 20-24 on the season.

The Jays should be able to come away with two if not three wins against the Mets.

Toronto will have every opportunity to rebound as they take on the Mets on Thursday night.

Game is set for 6:37pm EST.
