After an uncharacteristically sloppy defensive showing in game 2, the White Sox were back to their stingy ways. Dallas Keuchel limited the Toronto Blue Jays to 2 runs over 6 innings, striking out 8 in the process. Marcus Seimen and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. each had an RBI in the second half of the game. The score was 3-2 heading into the 7th, but that was as close as the Toronto Blue Jays would get.

On the offensive side, Chicago roughed up Hyun Jin Ryu for three runs in the first inning. Jose Abreu hit a deep double in the first and Yasmani Grandal followed up with a homer to right field, giving the White Sox the early lead. Adam Engel hit a solo homer in the 7th, while Abreu put the game out of reach with another RBI in the 8th.
