Toronto Raptors 92, LA Clippers 112

It was an emotional evening at the Scotiabank on Wednesday, as Kawhi Leonard was given a heroes welcome back to Toronto.

The MVP was making his first trip back to Toronto after leaving in the summer to return home to Los Angeles. Before the game started, Leonard picked up his championship ring.

He was honoured with an extended video tribute, in which the entire Scotiabank was on its feet applauding.

The emotional evening wasn’t enough to throw him off his game however as he scored 23 points in the 112-92 win for the Clippers. That means that LA have now won four of their last five.

Also, Lou Williams recorded 18 points and there was 14 points for Maurice Harkless. Paul George finished with 13, while Patrick Beverley ended with 11, which was also the same number as Patrick Patterson.

Toronto saw their record fall to four defeats in five. Pascal Siakam recorded 24 points, while there was 22 points for Norman Powell, and 13 points for OG Anunoby. Terence Davis finished with ten and Marc Gasol had nine.

The Raptors did well to get within five points of the Clippers during the third, but that soon changed in the fourth when the Clippers restored their 20-point advantage.

Toronto now have a few days rest before they take on the Brookyn Nets on Saturday evening at the Scotiabank.

Peace,

Burke.
