Toronto Raptors 112 Charlotte Hornets 110

The Raptors were in tough on the second night of a back to back Wednesday night on the road in Charlotte.

With the Raptors depleted roster due to injuries, legs were heavy at Spectrum Center in Charolette.

Charlottes young roster looked to capitalize on the Raptors fatigue with Terry Rozier and Miles Bridges posting 27 points and 26 points respectfully.

Charlotte led for most of the game but Toronto was able to rally late in the fourth quarter and overtime to steal one from the Hornets.

The Raptors defence was huge again in the win. Toronto forced the Hornets into 20 turnovers which led to 23 fast break points for Toronto.

Toronto’s starting five came through for the Raptors with all players scoring in double digits with 15 points or more.

Charlotte out rebounded the Raptors 50 to 46 while also turning the Raptors over 13 times. Toronto’s veteran players showed their worth late in the 4th with Lowry and Ibaka coming up big but it was some youth that really kept them in through out.

The Raptors were led by undrafted rookie Terrance Davis, who had a career night posting 23 point 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Serge Ibakas also had 23 points and 11 rebounds while adding to big free throws in overtime to seal it for Toronto.

Toronto will now have a much needed three day break until they are back home to take on the San Antonio Spurs Sunday evening at Scotiabank Arena. Tip off is 6pm EST.
