The Toronto Blue Jays roster just cannot seem to help themselves against the New York Yankees. For the third straight night, Toronto fell apart after the 7th-inning stretch to give away a game. Things didn’t exactly start well either, as the Yankees ran out 3 Blue Jays players for New York’s second triple-play of the season.

Toronto Blue Jays starter TJ Zeuch only lasted 3 innings, giving up 5 hits, 2 walks, and 3 runs. Anthony Castro was roughed-up out of the bullpen, giving up 5 hits and 4 runs in the 7th inning. MLB All-Star Giancarlo Stanton hit a 2-run homer off Castro, while Chris Gittens batted in another 2 runs.

In other Blue Jays news, after a poor “home” series in Buffalo, the team’s schedule puts them on the road for the next 5 games. The Blue Jays game today will happen in Baltimore.

Blue Jays schedule: @BlueJays vs @Orieles on Friday June 17th at 7:05pm.
