Toronto Raptors lose to Portland Trail Blazers on last second jumper from Carmelo Anthony 101-99

The Portland Trail Blazers led for just 17 seconds in their matchup against the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night,

17 seconds was just enough to take down the fourth seeded team in the eastern conference.

A depleted Raptors roster was unable to hold the high scoring Blazers in check in the last 3 minutes on Tuesday night at Scotiabank arena in downtown Toronto.

Without Siakham, Van Fleet, Powell, and Gasol the Raptors defence and depth had them in the drivers seat heading into the final minutes of the fourth.

The Raptors were on the way to a win.

Portlands big three of Lillard, Anthony, and McCollum were held in check all night until the final minutes when Lillard and Anthony took over.

Damian Lillard hit two three’s late and finished the game with 20 points and 9 assists.

Carmelo Anthony finished with 28 points and 7 rebounds while also hitting the game winner in the final seconds.

Kyle Lowry lead the charge for the Raptors once again coming up big when it counts.

But it was not enough to hold off the Blazers. Lowry finished with 24 points 9 assists and 4 rebounds in the loss.

A bright spot for the Raptors was the play Canadian Oshae Brissett who recently was called up from the G-League.

Brissett finished with 12 points and 6 rebounds in 23 minutes of play.

Brissett who is from Toronto, Ontario played his college ball at Syracuse. He is on a two way contract with the Raptors and plays for the Raptors as well as their G-League affiliate the Raptors 905.

The Raptors will have to have a short memory as they have a quick turn around as they will now fly to Charlotte to take on the Hornets tomorrow night.
