The Toronto Maple Leafs built off their offensive outburst from Saturday, gutting out a 2-1 victory over Montreal. The series tightened up in game 3, with both goaltenders making key saves to keep their teams in the game. Jack Campbell was stellar for Toronto, making timely saves throughout the night and shutting down a 3rd period push from Montreal. He finished the evening with a stellar .966 save percentage

William Nylander opened the scoring in the second and Morgan Reilly ripped one past Carey Price later in the period to give the Leafs all the offense they would need on the night. Nick Suzuki got the only goal for the Canadiens, with a well placed shot off the rush.

The Toronto Maple Leafs were without centreman Nick Foligno who was on the ice for warmups but left before puck drop due to a lower body injury.
