The Toronto Raptors had their three game win-streak snapped on Saturday night in Atlanta.
Riding the high of a three game win streak, the Raptors moved from 11th to 7th in the east.
The quick jump up the standings all came to a halt at the hands of the high powered Hawks.
On the second night of a back to back the Raptors struggled defensively on Saturday night.
Toronto allowed the high octane Hawks to shoot 56 percent from the field and 52 percent from three.
Atlanta had six players score in double figures.
Led by all-star guard Trae Young the Hawks could not be stopped on Saturday.
Young posted 28 points and 13 assists as he had his way against the Raps.
Clint Capela also had a big night for Atlanta posting 23 points and 16 rebounds.
Atlanta acquired Capela in a trade with Houston in the offseason and the trade has worked out very well for the Hawks.
Chris Boucher led the way for the Raptors off bench on Saturday night posting 29 points and 10 rebounds in 33 minutes of play.
Boucher has been a shining star for Toronto this season and has proven that he can handle a bigger role in the Raptors lineup on a nightly basis.
Fred VanVleet had another big night for Toronto as well as he finished with 25 points and 10 assists in 39 minutes of action.
With the loss the Raptors fall to eight in eastern conference just behind the New York Knicks.
The Raptors next matchup is against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Toronto will take on the Grizz on Monday night in Memphis.
Tip off is set for 8pm EST.
