Toronto Raptors lose to Milwaukee Bucks 108-97
The Raptors put forth a strong effort against the Bucks Tuesday night at Scotiabank Arena but came up short.
Toronto was unable to best the top team in the NBA despite holding the Bucks to just 108 points.
It was a three point barrage at Scotiabank arena as the top two teams in the east put up 94 three pointers combined.
There were just 50 points scored in the paint between the two teams.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way for the Bucks scoring 19 points while grabbing 19 rebounds, adding 8 assists.
All-star Khris Middleton also added 22 points and 8 rebounds in the win.
Milwaukee dominated Toronto on glass out rebounding the Raptors 53 to 43.
The Bucks had 23 assists on 32 made field goals, shooting 38 percent from the floor.
Toronto uncharacteristically committed 16 turnovers Tuesday night against the Bucks leading to 19 points for Milwaukee.
Pascal Siakam led the way for Toronto scoring 22 points while grabbing 6 rebounds.
Kyle Lowry paced the Raptors but shot just 16% from the floor in 41 minutes of play, scoring 10 points.
Serge Ibaka was unable to perform posting just 5 points and 5 rebounds shooting just 13 percent from the floor.
Milwaukee’s length and athleticism played a major factor in the game, keeping Toronto out of the lanes and forcing them to play on the perimeter.
The Bucks length and tough defence produced 10 steals in the game.
Toronto shot just 35 percent from the floor while shooting just 34 percent from beyond the arc.
The Raptors will now have a few days off before a matchup with the Charolette Hornets on Friday night.
