Toronto Raptors Take Down Phoenix Suns 118-101

The Raptors started the post all-star break on the right foot.

In a tilt with the Phoenix Suns Saturday night at Scotiabank Arena the Raptors were able to grind out the win.

Toronto led all night but the Suns were able to remain in striking distance until the end.

The undermanned Raptors were again with out the services of Marc Gasol, Norman Powell, and Patrick McCaw.

No real time line has been released for either player.

Toronto would play with just eight players in the contest and were still able to come out with the win.

The Raptors were led by all-star Pascal Siakam who posted a game high 37 and 11 rebounds.

Floor general Kyle Lowry had a double double in the win posting 13 points and 10 assists.

The Raptors held the high scoring Suns to just 101 points in the contest on just 41% shooting from the floor.

Toronto was able to keep all-star Devin Booker in check holding the all-star to 21 points.

The Raptors out rebounded the Suns 47 to 34 in the game giving up 10 offensive rebounds to the Suns.

Scoring 52 points in the paint Toronto would go on to shoot 52% from the floor and 37% from three.

Holding Phoenix to just 17% from the three point line Toronto’s defence shined once again.

Toronto had 13 blocks in the game none bigger than the Chris Boucher block on a three pointer in the third quarter.

The Raptors will now have a day off as they await a matchup with the Indiana Pacers Sunday night.
