Fernandez still holds the Blue Jays record for all time hits. Fernandez also won four gold gloves in his career.

Thorton got the start on the mound for the Jays, as he prepares to be the teams 5th starting pitcher come opening day.
Thorton pitched two innings giving up no runs, posting no strikeouts and gave up one walk.
Randel Grichuk got the start in centre field as he expects to be the starting centre fielder for the Jays this season.
Anthony Alford had an impressive day for the Jays as he stole second, third, and home to score a run.
Alford will need more days like this as he battles for the starting right field position on opening day.
Former Blue Jay J. Happ got the start on the mound for the Yankees pitching two innings giving up no runs and posting three strike outs.
The Blue Jays will take on the Atlanta Braves tomorrow.
