NBA Gm’s vote 75% for play in playoff format
During a conference call with commissioner Adam Silver 75% of NBA voted for a play in tournament.
The play in tournament will determine the final playoff seeds in each conference.
The other 25% of general mangers voted for a group stage tournament much like the format of the world cup in soccer.
Teams such as the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angelas Lakers who were in higher seeds before the season was paused;
Are reportedly more in favour of the play in format when the NBA returns.
GM’s also voted on whether or not to play regular season games upon return.
Fifteen of the thirty gm’s voted to not play regular season games.
Commissioner Adam Silver will host another conference call today (May 29th) to provide further details about the NBA’s return.
