Indiana Pacers 120, Toronto Raptors 115
There was little Christmas cheer for the Toronto Raptors on Monday evening as they were beaten 120-115 by the Indiana Pacers.
The Raptors started slowly and found themselves 30-19 behind after the opening period. They cut into the lead over the next two periods and ended the second behind by 54-44.
Toronto then put themselves on course for another memorable success by closing the third period 79-78 ahead.
However, the Pacers came back into the game in the closing period as they outscored Toronto 29-28 to force overtime.
The Pacers closed out the win by outscoring the Raptors 13-8.
Toronto have now lost nine games for the season.
Pascal Siakam was missing for the Raptors once again. Kyle Lowry continued his excellent form by scoring more than 30 points for the second consecutive game.
Lowry ended the night with 30 points. Meanwhile, Serge Ibaka finished with 23 points, and Fred VanFleet ended with 21 points.
OG Anunoby scored 15 points and made 12 rebounds. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Terence Davis both scored eight points. There were also five points apiece for Patrick McCaw and Chris Boucher.
Indiana were led by 24 points apiece for T.J Warren and Myles Turner. There was also double-digit returns for Domantas Sabonis, Jeremy Lamb, Aaron Holiday and T.J McConnell.
The Raptors are back in action for their first-ever home game on Christmas Day, as they welcome the Boston Celtics to the Scotiabank for an early game tomorrow.
