Toronto Raptors defeat Indiana Pacers 127-81
The Toronto Raptors could do no wrong Sunday evening in their matchup against the Indiana Pacers.
Toronto started out hot and put forth a defensive showing that has not been seen for sometime.
The Raptors took a 22 point lead into the second quarter and never let up.
Toronto would go on to hold the Pacers to just 81 points on Sunday. Holding a team such as the Pacers to such a low score is quite the feat.
Dominating in all categories on the Sunday the Raptors would out rebounded the Pacers 58-39.
It was a total team effort for Toronto as the Raptors had 6 players score in double digits.
All-star forward Pascal Siakam led the way for Toronto with 21 points and 2 rebounds.
While floor general Kyle Lowry also had a strong game finishing with 16 points 11 assists and 8 rebounds.
Shooting 49 percent from the field and 38 percent from behind the arc the Raptors were firing on all cylinders.
Indiana could not get anything going on Sunday without star shooting guard Victor Oladipo.
The Pacers shot just 32 percent from the field while shooting a dismal 24 percent from three.
All-star Domontas Sabonis led the way for Indiana scoring 14 points while posting 11 rebounds.
With the win the Raptors extended their second place lead in the Eastern Conference over the third place Boston Celtics who lost to the Lakers on Sunday.
Toronto now has a 2 game advantage over the Celtics, while sitting 7 games back of the first place Milwaukee Bucks.
The Raptors will now have a chance to close that gap with the Bucks.
Toronto will have a two day break while they await their matchup with the Bucks.
