Toronto started out hot and did not cool off as they ran all over the Nets.
The Raptor took a 37-10 lead into the second quarter and did not look back.
The Raptors hot start can be attributed to the players families doing the announcements of the player intros.
With the win Toronto is now 2-10 in playoff game ones.
Fred VanVleet led the way for the Raptors pouring in 30 points and 11 assists on Monday night.
The Raptors shot fifty per cent from three against the Nets shooting 22 of 44.
Toronto was scorching from behind the arc on Monday scoring just 28 total points in the paint.
The Raptor guards were excellent in game one as Kyle Lowry finished with 16 points 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
Brooklyn struggled to get going against the Raptors in game one shooting just 31 per cent from beyond the arc.
Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot led the way for Brooklyn scoring 26 points and adding 7 rebounds in 33 minutes off the bench.
The difference in the game one was once again Toronto’s ability to defend the three point line.
Brooklyn shot 42 threes in game one hitting just 13.
While Brooklyn was able to muster five more possessions than Toronto it did not matter as the Raptors locked down the three point line.
Toronto will now look to take a 2-0 series lead against the Nets on Wednesday afternoon.
