Detroit Red Wings 2, Toronto Maple Leafs 5

Mike Babcock would be breathing a sigh of relief this morning as he was able to turn the fortunes of his Toronto Maple Leafs around.

They went into the game having lost their last three in the NHL. However this was a much better performance against the Detroit Red Wings.

The goals in the game were scored by Nicholas Shore and Ilya Mikheyev for the Maple Leafs. The 5-2 win certainly put an air of comfort in the arena.

The three goals that put the Maple Leafs clear were all scored in the final period.

Jake Muzzin, Alexander Kerfoot and Trevor Moore also got on the scoresheet for the Leafs.

Frederik Andersen had been enduring a torrid start to the season, but he played his way back into form with an impressive performance. He made 28 saves in the win.

Peace,

Burke.
