Philadelphia Flyers 6, Toronto Maple Leafs 1

The Philadelphia Flyers built on their strong November with another win to begin December. Meanwhile, it was a second defeat of the Sheldon Keefe era as the Maple Leafs lost 6-1.

The winning goal was scored by Claude Giroux in the third period. Philadelphia went on to score three further goals in the last two minutes.

Meanwhile, Carter Hart finished with 27 saves.

Scott Laughton, James van Riemsdyk, Joel Farabee and Shayne Gostisbehere were also on the scoresheet for the Flyers.

Travis Dermott was the scorer for the Maple Leafs. However, Toronto lost for the second time in six games since firing Mike Babcock at the end of November.

Meanwhile, the Toronto Maple Leafs will have an immediate chance to get back to winning ways when they take on the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday evening.

Peace,

Burke.
