Boston Celtics 112, Toronto Raptors 106

The Toronto Raptors aren’t a team that are accustomed to losing games, but they will have to find a way to bounce back following a disappointing evening against the Boston Celtics.

The hosts ran out 112-106 winners in the contest, as the Raptors were handed a first defeat in the NBA since winning the championship at the end of last season.

Toronto started very slowly in the contest and never truly recovered from falling behind in the third.

Pascal Siakam once again put in a sterling effort as he scored 33 points in the defeat. Kyle Lowry was also winding back the clock with a marvellous 29 points, but the Raptors could only get 13 from their next highest scorer, which was Serge Ibaka.

OG Anunoby finished with nine, while Fred VanFleet had seven. Meanwhile, the Celtics had three players to score over 20 points.

They were led by 25 from Jaysum Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Meanwhile, two other players also scored more than ten points.

The Raptors will have an immediate chance to get back to winning ways when they take on the Chicago Bulls in their next game on the road.

Peace,

Burke.
