Toronto Raptors 110, Brooklyn Nets 102

The Toronto Raptors got back to winning ways last night at the Scotiabank to end a run of three straight defeats.

Pascal Siakam scored 30 points as the Toronto Raptors claimed the 110-102 win over the Brooklyn Nets. The success comes off the back of three consecutive defeats against the Philadelphia 76ers, Chicago Bulls and LA Clippers.

The Raptors started quickly in the game and refused to take their foot off the accelerator. They outscored the Nets in three of the four periods. Toronto led 38-31 after the first period.

Siakam’s 30 led the Raptors, but there were also double-digit tallies for four other Raptors players. Marc Gasol got 17, while Kyle Lowry also got the same number.

Nick Powell recorded 25 points, and Serge Ibaka had 12. The Nets were led by 24 from Spencer Dinwiddie.

Brooklyn continued to fight until the bitter end, but the Raptors showed their quality as they were able to hang on to claim the win.

The NBA champions will now be looking to build on their momentum over the festive period, as they build up for their first-ever game on Christmas Day in ten days time.

Toronto enjoyed a 35% success rate from beyond the arc, and 35.8% of their attempts from the field paid off.

The Raptors are back in action on Monday as they host the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Peace,

Burke.
