Over the month of March, the Toronto Raptors have been decimated by COVID-19. While other NBA teams have finally begun to overcome their early season fallouts with the virus, the Toronto Raptors are now in the middle of their health and safety crisis.

Previously 5th in the Eastern conference standings, the Toronto Raptors are now in danger of falling down to 12th with a loss tonight versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. With a full, healthy roster, the amount of excuses left for this Tampa-bound team is starting to run thin. And with the trade deadline approaching, the Raptors will have to evaluate whether they want to be sellers or buyers.

Kyle Lowry and Normal Powell are a couple of the names that have been thrown out as possible trade candidates for the Toronto Raptors. Whether or not these trades goes through depends on what Masai Ujiri and Bobby Webster believe is the ceiling of this team. With a potential 8th loss in a row looming, it’s safe to say that a win tonight may have a huge impact on the Raptor’s future this season.

With a now healthy lineup, you can expect a Siakam, Annuoby, Powell, Lowry, and Vanvleet starting five.

8 losses in a row. After a weak third quarter performance, the Raptors put themselves in yet another poor position to win. And while a late comeback put them within striking distance, it wasn’t enough to get them over the hump and breaking this growing losing streak.

This has been a common theme for the Toronto Raptors across these last 8 games; one terrible quarter and a comeback that is never fully realized. After benching Siakam for the fourth quarter, it is clear that this team is in desperate search of answer for this standings free fall.
