In last night’s game versus the Oakland Athletic’s, the Toronto Blue Jays were able to generate the offence they had been denied in the previous matchup.

The game started with an excellent 2-run inning at the top of the 1st. After Semien struck out, Bichette, Guerrero Jr., Hernández, and Grichuk all had consecutive hits. The starting pitcher for the A’s, Chris Bassitt had gone into the game averaging 6 innings and less than 2 home-runs per start. Fortunately for him, he was able to silence the Jays for the rest of his campaign.

After Bassitt was retired in the 8th, however, the Toronto Blue Jays offence lit up. Across the 8th and 9th inning, the Jays were able to cycle through their entire batting rotation and put together 7 spectacular runs to put them back on track in the MLB AL East standings race.
