Toronto FC 0 New York City FC 1

The injury ridden Reds lost their second in row on Wednesday night.

New York was dominate all night long as Toronto struggled without its stars.

Jesus Medina scored in the 51st minute to put Toronto away as New York was too much for the battered Reds.

Medina put one away off a rebound from a shot that came from outside the 18 yard box.

TFC keeper Quentin Westberg would likely like the shot back as he gave up an easy rebound to Medina.

With that being said this was New York FC’s night, as they were all over Toronto from start to finish.

New York dominated possession holding 56% of the ball in the match.

That possession led to 15 total shots for New York with six shots on target.

Toronto was unable to muster one shot on target in the match.

Showing just how much the side is missing its stars.

Toronto went with a 4-2-3-1 formation to match that of New York but it barred no fruit on Wednesday.

With the loss Toronto is now firmly in the second seed in the eastern conference.

Three points behind Philadelphia for first. Toronto sits six points ahead of Columbus and Orlando for second place.

Toronto will now head to Miami where they will take on Inter Miami on Sunday.

As the seasons end quickly approaches Toronto will need to do all it can to get points out of their upcoming matches.

Kickoff for that match is scheduled for 7:30pm EST.
