Toronto Raptors beat the Indiana Pacers 115-106
The streak continued Friday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, as the Raptors beat the Indiana Pacers.
With the win Toronto’s winning streak has now stretched to thirteen games.
It was a total team effort for the Raptors as six players finished in double figures.
Led by another strong performance from Serge Ibaka and Kyle Lowry the Raptors were able to pull out the win on the road.
Toronto shot a blazing 44.7% from behind the arc Friday night and 47% from the field.
The hot shooting combined with another strong defensive performance lifted the Raptors to the nine point victory.
Ibaka finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds in the game leading all scorers.
Toronto’s all-star guard Kyle Lowry had a double double scoring 16 points while handing out 11 dimes.
Lowry was forced to leave the contest late in game after suffering from whiplash after falling awkwardly.
A real damper on what would have been a very special night for Lowry.
It was a special night for Lowry because he passed former Raptor Vince Carter for 3rd on the all time Raptor scoring list Friday night.
The Raptors where able to pull out the victory despite the injury to Lowry, but it will be tough for Toronto if Lowry misses any significant time.
Toronto is already 3rd in the entire NBA with man games lost.
The Raptors are now a game and a half ahead of the third place Celtics in the Eastern Conference standings.
Indiana out rebounded Toronto in the game 47-39 while also outscoring Toronto in the paint 54-44.
Leading scorer for the Pacers in the game was all-star Damontas Sabonis who finished with 19 points and 16 rebounds.
Toronto will look to continue the streak February 8th as they head back home to take on the Brooklyn Nets.
