The Blue Jays were lucky to come away with a win on Tuesday night in Buffalo.
Toronto blew a three run lead in the 9th inning sending the game into extra innings.
Relief pitcher A.J. Cole was able to get three outs for Toronto in the tenth inning to give the Jays a chance to win it.
With Nonna behind home plate Toronto could not let this one slip away.
With just one out and the bases loaded in scoring position the Jays Travis Shaw came up big.
Shaw was the hero for Toronto on Tuesday night;
Hitting a walk-off single in the tenth inning off of Stephen Tarpley to win it for Toronto.
The Jays got a great start out of Hyun-Jin Ryu on Tuesday night.
Ryu went six innings strong striking out seven Miami batters, giving up just one run.
Elieser Herandez started on the mound for Miami pitching five innings giving up four hits and three runs.
Bo Bichette put the Jays in position to win in the sixth inning when he unloaded on a 91mph fastball, giving the Jays a three run lead in the sixth inning as he hit his third home-run of the season.
Toronto also got a strong performance from Cavan Biggio who went 2-4 for the Jays on Tuesday with an RBI.
The Blue Jays have been unable to win so many close games this season, so this win over Miami means just a little bit more.
With the win Toronto improves to 6-8 on the season.
Toronto will look to build off this win over Miami when the two teams clash again on Wednesday.
