Toronto Blue Jays 11 Miami Marlins 14

It was a shoot out between the Jays and Marlins in Buffalo on Wednesday night.

In a game that went late into the night Toronto was unable to stop the bats of the Marlins.

With thirty-two total hits between the two teams on Wednesday, it was clear that it would come down to the last out.

Toronto’s Nate Pearson started on the mound for the Jays in the shortest outing of his young career.

Pearson went just two innings giving up five hits and four earned runs.

Miami’s starter Jordan Yamamoto faired no better on Wednesday as he lasted just one inning longer than Pearson.

Yamamoto gave up seven hits and four earned runs before being chased in the third.

No manger could find an answer on the mound as fourteen different pitchers were used collectively by the two teams on Wednesday.

The Blue Jays Travis Shaw continued his hot hitting on Wednesday after his walk-off on Tuesday night.

Shaw went 2-4 at the plate Wednesday bringing in three RBIs.

Gurrerro Jr also had a good night, going 2-5, breaking out of his hitting slump as he homered in the seventh.

Toronto’s pitchers had no answer for Miami’s Jesus Aguilar as he went 3-6 at the plate with three RBI’s.

With the loss Toronto falls to 6-9 on the season.

Toronto will now have a day off as they prepare for another series with the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday.

Game is set to start at 6:37 pm EST.
