TFC 1-0 Columbus Crew

Toronto FC will go into the playoffs in high confidence after rounding off their season with tenth match unbeaten. The final game of the regular season saw TFC run out 1-0 winners.

The only moment of real magic in the game came from the boot of Alejandro Pozuelo as he curled a delicious free kick into the Crew net.

Both sides missed glorious chances in the first half to take the lead. Gyasi Zardes was first guilty of slicing the ball when faced with the TFC keeper. Before, Jozy Altidore spurned a great opportunity for Toronto as he fired wide.

The match winning moment came in the 68th minute as Altidore earned the free kick that the Spanish magician confidently fired home.

Columbus had their chances to equalise with Zardes hitting the post late in the game, before he then missed another one on one opportunity against the void TFC net.

The defeat for the Crew ended a five-match winning run, while TFC will go into the post-season in good confidence.

Peace,

Burke.
