Pascal Siakam named Eastern Conference All-star starter

The Raptors star forward was named to the first all-star game of his career Friday.

In just his fourth season in the NBA, Siakam has added yet another accomplishment.

NBA champion, most improved player award, now NBA All-star starter.

Few Players have been able to accomplish what Pascal Siakam has been able to do in his young career.

Siakam’s rise to stardom was not easy. Siakam was the Raptors 27th in the 2016 draft.

Toronto saw something in the young forward, but his talents were raw.

He spent time in the G-League developing his skills waiting for an opportunity to play for the Raptors.

It did not take long before Siakam got his chance in his rookie year to play for the Raptors.

One thing that stands out when watching Siakam is that his motor is unmatched.

Nobody works harder than him. He is seemingly everywhere on the court at once.

And its because of that motor that his development and role with the team has only increased year after year.

In 2017-2018 Siakam was averaging just 7.3ppg in 20 minutes of play.

Siakam finished the Raptors championship season in 2018-2019 as the teams third option averaging 16.9ppg, and winning the NBA’s most improved player award.

This season Siakam is Toronto’s number one option and his game has again jumped to the next level.

Averaging 23.7 ppg while pulling in 7 rebounds a night.

Siakams rise to becoming a star in the NBA has not been textbook but no one can argue with the results.

Every season Pascal has gotten better and better and with this accolade only adding to the fire it will be fun to see where his talents take him next.

Siakam will take part in the NBA’s All-star weekend in Chicago Illinois.

The all star game is Sunday February 16th.
