Toronto Raptors take down Thunder 130-121
The Raptors went into Oklahoma City Wednesday night coming off of two days rest and it showed.
Toronto came out hot scoring 38 points in the first quarter.
Coming off a tough loss to the Spurs on Sunday, Toronto was looking to get back in the win column and were able to come out with the win.
Toronto was firing on all cylinders in the win shooting a blazing 61% from the floor, while also shooting 55% from three.
The Raptors had 7 players score in double digits. Led by Norman Powell who had 23 points in just 27 minutes of play.
Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby also added 21 points a piece in 30 and 39 minutes respectfully.
Marc Gasol saw his first action for Toronto in 12 games after recovering from a hamstring injury.
Gasol finished with 15 point 5 rebounds and 4 assists in 32 minutes of play.
The Raptors were up by 14 heading into the 4th quarter, when the Thunder went on a run.
Oklahoma was able to cut Toronto’s lead to single digits in the 4th but were unable to get any closer thanks to some big time buckets from Kyle Lowry.
Lowry’s leadership and the Raptors depth shined once again for the Raptors in the contest.
Canadian Shail Gilgeous-Alexander finished with 21 points 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the Thunder in the loss, while Dennis Schroder had 25 points off the Thunder bench.
The Raptors will now head back home for a matchup with the Washington Wizards on Friday night at Scotiabank Arena.
