Toronto Raptors lose to Charolette Hornets 99-96

The Raptors lost a tough one at home against the Charolette Friday night at Scotibank arena.

In a game that went down to the wire, the depleted Raptors were unable to close out the Hornets.

The Raptors who were without the services of Marc Gasol, Serge Ibaka, and Fred VanFleet struggled against the Hornets.

The Raptors were out rebounded 58 to 45 in the contest struggling to rebound with two of the its key big men out.

Toronto also struggled from behind the arc on Friday shooting just 23 percent from three point land.

Despite the struggles Toronto kept it close all game long, with the game going down to the final few possessions.

With the game tied, Kyle Lowry missed a three point attempt with just 3 seconds remaining in the game.

The Raptors would commit a last second foul sending Terry Rozier to the line to win it for the Hornets.

Leading scorers for Toronto were Pascal Siakam, and Norman Powell.

Siakam finished the game with 24 points while Powell finished with 22 points.

Top scorers for Charolette were Terry Rozier and Devonte Graham who bth finished with 18 points a piece.

It was an off night offensively for the Raptors who shot just 34 percent from the field while shooting just 23 percent from three.

It was not all bad news for Toronto as Norman Powell returned to the lineup tonight.

Powell performed well in his return scoring 22 points in 36 minutes of play.

Toronto will look to rebound when they take on the Denver Nuggets Sunday night at 6 pm EST.
