The Raptors injury woes finally caught up to them as they fell to the Miami Heat in a back and forth battle that saw the Raps lose by eight.

Miami who sits in third place in the eastern conference was able to create some space between themselves and the fourth place Toronto Raptors as they were able to out last the Raptors at American Airlines Arena.

Three point shooting really let the Raptors down in the contest as they shot just 14% (6-42) from behind the arc. Toronto also struggled from the floor in the contest shooting just 31% (28-89) from the field.

Miami was able to out rebound the Raptors fifty to forty-eight, and shot 32.4% from three point land which is really where this game was won and lost for the Raptors.

One bright spot for Toronto was the play of OG Anunoby. He finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds in 37 minutes of play, making it two good performances in a row.

Serge Ibaka and Kyle Lowry chipped in with 19 points and 10 rebounds and 15 points, 8 assists and 4 rebounds respectfully.

Miami was able to use a balanced attack to defeat the Raptors as they had four players in double figures lead by Bam Adebayo who finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds in the contest.

Toronto now sits 7.5 games back of the conference leading Milwaukee Bucks and 2.5 games back of the 3rd place Miami Heat.

The Raptors will be back in action on January 3rd as they take on the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Centre. Tip off is 6pm EST.
