Toronto Raptors pull out tough one on the road against the Atlanta Hawks 122-117

The Toronto Raptors finished up their two game road swing with an impressive win over the Atlanta Hawks Monday afternoon.

On just one days rest following their win in Minnesota on Saturday night the Raptors struggled to find their flow against Atlanta.

Toronto was able to keep themselves in the game throughout, but were up against a young Hawks team with fresh legs.

Trae Young continued his impressive campaign with another monster game for the Hawks scoring 42 points while adding 15 assists.

Jason Collins also had a strong game for Atlanta adding 17 points and 11 rebounds.

The Raptors started slow in the second half but made a run late in the 3rd quarter and carried it over into the 4th.

Toronto forced the young Hawks into 23 turnovers in the game and scored 33 points off of those turnovers.

Atlanta was able to out rebound Toronto 50 to 45, while also out scoring Toronto in the paint 56-50.

Toronto’s bench was big once again with strong performances from Norman Powell, Terrence Davis and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.

Powell finished with 27 points , Davis finished with 12 points 4 rebounds and 4 assists, while Hollis-Jefferson added 7 points and 11 rebounds.

The Raptors were able to get stops when it counted and with some big plays from the backcourt of Lowry and Van Fleet were able to muscle out a tough win on the road.

The Raptors will now return home for a matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night at Scotiabank Arena.
