The Toronto Maple Leafs pulled off the impossible on Friday night.

Toronto scored three goals in the last four minutes of the third period to force overtime versus the Jackets.

The Leafs late game heroics came with the goalie pulled the whole time.

Forcing overtime the Leafs road the momentum into the extra framing as Auston Matthews scored the game winner.

Toronto looked to be all but out as the Blue Jackets were on the verge of eliminating the struggle Leafs.

William Nylander scored with just four minutes left to open the flood gates for Toronto.

Nylander’s goal was quickly followed 50 seconds later by a John Tavares goal.

Zach Hyman would score the game tying goal off a beautiful cross ice feed from Auston Matthews with just twenty seconds to go in the third.

Frederik Andersen was big for Toronto as he stopped 36 of the 39 shots he faced on Friday night.

The Leafs out played and out chanced Columbus all night as Blue Jackets net minder Elvis Merzlikins stood on his head.

Merzlikins stopped 49 of the 53 shots he faced as the Leafs peppered the net minder all night long.

Toronto was finally able to break through late in the third and saved elimination thanks to Matthews overtime winner.

The Leafs have now tied the best of five series at two games a piece.

Columbus and Toronto will clash again in a win or go home situation on Sunday night.
