The Jays’ recent set of blowouts was turned against them when the team battled the former World Series Champions on Friday night. The Toronto Blue Jays created a unique relationship with the Houston Astros this off-season by acquiring George Springer and attempting to sign outfielder Michael Brantley. While Springer didn’t make an official return, his team definitely gave him a warm welcome.

The good Blue Jays news is that the team netted three home-runs, one of which belonged to Danny Jansen. Having only scored his first home-run in Thursday’s game against Oakland, Jansen seems to be finally getting his offensive rhythm. As the team’s best back catcher, Jansen’s recent offensive development is huge for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Besides that, the Blue Jays were blown out in spectacular fashion, allowing 15 hits and 10 runs. Ross Stripling was only able to put together 3 innings.
