Having played just two less games and being only five points behind, the Jets are finally in arms reach of becoming the NHL’s North Division leaders. In their last meeting the Leafs lost to the unusual suspects. The Jets’ Josh Morrissey scored his first goal of the season and Andrew Copp netted his first goal in 17 games. If the Leafs (-180) want to be one of the NHL’s hottest teams they are going to have to limit their own mistakes and find a way to put together a full 60-minute performance.
