The Maple Leafs rebounded from their game one loss to take game two over the Blue Jackets.

With the win Toronto has now tied the best of five qualifying series at one game a piece.

The Leafs offence came to life on Tuesday night putting lots of pressure on Columbus all throughout.

With the mounting pressure Toronto was finally able to solve Columbus net-minder Joonas Korpisalo.

Auston Matthews scored late in the second period as Toronto finally cracked the hot net minder after four scoreless periods.

John Tavares added an insurance goal in the third period while Frederik Andersen stopped all twenty of the shots he faced on Tuesday.

Morgan Rielly would add an empty net goal late in the third period to seal the win for the Leafs.

While Toronto shined on Tuesday it was not all good news.

Leafs defensemen Jake Muzzin was forced to leave Tuesdays game after a scary injury late in the third period.

Muzzin appeared to hurt is neck after falling awkwardly with Oliver Bjorkstrand.

Muzzin was taken away on a stretcher as he was unable to get up after the fall. The positive news was that he was able to move his exterminates.

While Toronto was able to overwhelm Columbus in game two it was not a run away game.

Korpisalo kept Columbus in the game saving 36 of the 38 shots he faced.

Toronto will need to keep the pressure on heading into game three on Thursday.
