For the fourth straight night, the Toronto Blue Jays were unable to put together a complete game. After losing in extras to the Rays on Friday, the Blue Jays once again gave up crucial runs late in a game. On the offensive side, Toronto’s normally potent order could only muster one run over 9 innings in the 3-1 loss to Tampa Bay.

Robbie Ray was a lone bright spot for the Toronto Blue Jays on saturday. Over 7 innings, the lefty pitcher threw for 7 strikeouts and only gave up one run on 5 hits. Teoscar Hernandez batted in the only run for the Jays with a double in the first.

Rookie Taylor Walls hit two doubles for Tampa in his MLB debut, helping the Rays secure their ninth straight victory. They now sit just one game back of the Boston Red Sox for the division lead.
