Pittsburgh Penguins 6, Toronto Maple Leafs 1

The Toronto Maple Leafs are struggling to build any kind of momentum this season, as they were handed another big defeat by the Pittsburgh Penguins last night.

Dominic Kahun scored a brace in the win, while he also added an assist. Bryan Rust was also on the scoresheet, as was Jake Guentzel and Evgeni Malkin.

It isn’t taking anything away from the Penguins, but they were really as good as the Leafs were bad. The defeat means that Babcock has now overseen their longest losing streak of the season.

Jason Spezza pulled one back for the Leafs, but they were already in deep trouble by this point due to their poor start to the match.

Kasimir Kaskisuo started for the Leafs and was in poor form. He allowed six goals and made 38 saves. He looked desperate, as did the majority of the Leafs players towards the end.

They can change their fortunes around when they travel to the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday.

Peace,

Burke.
