Having lost and won their last two games versus the Winnipeg Jets, the Toronto Maple Leafs aim to take the mid-season series in tonight’s Saturday matchup. After a terrific third period performance by the Leafs to get them back into the game, the Jets held on with a last-minute goal. Despite what looked like a typical Leafs collapse late, the Leafs completed a full-ice breakout to seal the game. Matthews, having not looked like himself as of late, scored a spectacular OT winner to put the game to bed.
Heading into this game, Matthews is trying to continue his two-game goal streak against one of the NHL’s hottest teams. While the Leafs are still favoured for this game, some betting sites have them lower than the standard -180 we have seen in the last two matches.
