Toronto Blue Jays 5 Baltimore Orioles 2

The Blue Jays remained hot as they swept their three game series with the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday.

After a rough couple of series, Toronto was finally able to complete a full series sweep.

Toronto was able to hold the Orioles to just two runs on eleven hits in game three.

The Jays sent Tanner Roark to the mound in game three.

Roark pitched well going five innings strong, giving up nine hits but just one earned run while recording five strike-outs.

The Jays got a solid performance from Roark who was able to get Orioles batters to hit into double plays and easy outs.

Randal Grichuk continued his hot hitting going 2-4 at the plate, hitting a home-run and bringing in three RBI’s.

Baltimore sent Tommy Milone to the mound on Wednesday.

Milone went six innings giving up seven hits and three earned runs, striking out seven.

Baltimore’s short bullpen after the extra innings game the night before struggled and the Jays took advantage.

The Jays scored two runs late in the game for insurance once they chased Milone from the game in the sixth.

With the win Toronto improves to 10-11 on the season putting them just half a game behind the Orioles for third in the AL East.

If Toronto can squeak into third they will be in playoff position.

It is still early in the season to think about the playoffs but for such a young team for Toronto to be in the hunt can only benefit the young roster.

Toronto will look to improve its record on Friday when they take on the Tampa Bay Rays.

Game is set for 640pm EST.
