Toronto Blue Jays 6 Tampa Bay Rays 4

The Blue Jays hit a three run home-run to steal a late win at Tropicana Field Monday afternoon.

Randal Grichuk hit a home run late in the seventh inning against Tampa giving the Jays a 5-3 lead.

Gurriel Jr also homered for Toronto and Thomas Hatch sealed the win for Toronto pitching two scoreless innings.

Jordan Romono came in late for the save as the Jays finally beat the Rays after two consecutive loses.

This is a big win for Toronto as this shows just how bright the future could be for this young team.

With multiple players out, injuries at the pitching position and another injury to arguably their best player in Bo Bichette Toronto is holding its own against the AL’s best.

Toronto sent Tanner Roark to the mound on Monday. Roark pitched five innings giving up six hits, and three earned runs.

Starter for Tampa was Blake Snell, who pitched 5.2 innings giving up four hits, two runs while striking out nine.

Cavan Biggio was one of the few Blue Jays who did well at the plate Sunday.

Biggio went 2-4 with an RBI.

Grichuk also did well at the plate going 2-4 while hitting the homer that sealed the win for Toronto.

Torontos win on Sunday moves them a game above .500 and puts them in a good position going into their upcoming seven game home-stand.

The Blue Jays will now head home to Buffalo for a three game series with the Boston Red Sox.
