After having their post-season chances taken away earlier this week, the Toronto Raptors have begun to look ahead. And while it is disappointing that one of the winningest franchises of the last ten seven years is not in the playoffs, there is still a lot to get excited about.

Following the team’s loss to the Chicago Bulls on Thursday, the club travelled to Dallas to take on the surging Mavericks. While no seeding implications were at stake, the Dallas-born Raptor, Jalen Harris, would be making his hometown debut. And it was a big one.

The first year guard shattered his career high and dropped 31 points, shot 57% from the field and made five three-pointers. His backcourt partner, the other Raptor rookie, broke his career-high with an impressive 26/6/5/2 stat line. As gloomy as things may be, the future is still bright for the Toronto Raptors.
