Despite the return of Fred Vanvleet and Pascal Siakam, the Toronto Raptors drop a surprising nail biter to the struggling Pistons. With the loss tonight the Raptors have dropped their 6th consecutive loss in row – putting the club now six games below .500 and 11th in the East.

Defence was once again a persistent problem for the Toronto Raptors. Giving up another first quarter blowout, the Raptors up for an uphill battle against the young and scrappy Pistons. The Raps defence wasn’t just poor in the first quarter, however. The Detroit Pistons shot 51% from the field and 41% from deep – making 12 three-pointers across all four quarters.

What makes this loss particularly frustrating is that it overshadows Powell’s career night. On shooting 7/9 from deep and 14/18 from the floor Norm put up a career high 43 points in what was otherwise a disappointing effort. For more NBA and Raptors news follow @snkrbox_inc on Twitter.
