After a medium-cool start, the Toronto Blue Jays have finally begun building some serious momentum. Going into yesterday’s game versus the Boston Red Sox, the Blue Jays had won 5 of their last 6 contests. At one point last in the AL East, the club from Toronto is now half a game behind the division-leading Red Sox. With another win tonight, the Jays would vault themselves to the top of the MLB’s AL East.

This game was more than just a standings boost. It was a statement.

Ryu, through 7 innings, only allowed 4 hits, no runs, and expertly completed 7 strikeouts. The Jays as a team limited the Red Sox to just 5 hits the entire game. The Toronto Blue Jays on the other hand, finished with 18 hits and 8 runs.
