Toronto Raptors win on the road against Phoenix Suns 123-114

The Raptors snapped their three game losing streak Tuesday night against the Suns.

In the first game of a four game road trip the Raptors were in tough against a young and talented Suns team.

Toronto was once again undermanned while key players Ibaka, Gasol, and VanFleet are still out with injuries.

Led by Pascal Siakam the Raptors pulled out the victory on the road.

Siakam finished with 33 points and 7 rebounds in the contest.

Toronto also got strong performances from Norman Powell, Kyle Lowry and Chris Boucher.

Powell finished with 26 points in 38 minutes will Lowry finished with 28 points and 6 assists.

Boucher had a strong night in extended minutes posting 19 points and 15 rebounds, while hitting a dagger three late in the 4th quarter.

Devin Booker led the way for the Suns scoring 22 points while adding 10 assists.

Toronto played just 9 players Tuesday night with on six players seeing significant minutes.

Look for Nick Nurse to slowly tighten the rotation as the season winds down and the playoffs approach.

The Raptors dominated the Suns in the paint Tuesday night.

Toronto out rebounded the Suns 47 to 35 in the game while grabbing 9 offensive rebounds.

The Raptors would also outscore the Suns in the paint 52-38.

Toronto’s defence was once again strong as they were able to hold the Suns down the stretch in order to secure the victory.

With the win Toronto increases its lead over the Boston Celtics in the eastern conference.

Toronto now sits a game and a half ahead of Boston for 2nd in the east.

The Raptors will continue their road trip as they now travel to San Francisco to take on the Golden State Warriors on Friday night.
