The Toronto Blue Jays were completely dismantled by the Oakland Athletic’s pitching roster. Cole Irvin threw nearly a perfect game. Through 8 full innings, the 27-year-old pitcher out of Oregon was efficient and deadly.

In Irvin’s 8-inning stretch, the young pitcher limited the Toronto Blue Jays to just 3 hits and 1 run. The leftie thrower all tackled on 9 spectacular strikeouts to go along with his impressive outing.

The only RBI performer on the Blue Jays yesterday was none other than former Oakland A Marcus Semien. At the top of the 6th, the MLB veteran launched a deep double hit to left centre field where Santiago Espinal was able to score.

Despite the final score, this game mostly came down to an incredible second inning stretch by the A’s.
